Surprise! Just a couple days into their spring headlining tour, alt-emo icons Dashboard Confessional have uploaded a brand new covers EP.
Titled as Covered + Taped, the new four-track EP features impressive renditions of The 1975′s “Sex,” Julien Baker’s “Sprained Ankle,” Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” and Sorority Noise’s “Using.”
That’s right, in a very interesting selection, Chris Carrabba and co. take turns covering two very popular artists like The 1975 and the Biebs then also shine some light on two rising stars like Mrs. Baker and Sorority Noise.
“I love covering great songs by great artists,” says Carrabba. “These are some songs I feel very connected to right now. Enough so that I felt I had a way of making them my own in some small way.”
