In anticipation of their forthcoming Record Store Day release Slow Heart, alt-emo outfit Balance and Composure is currently streaming one of their two brand new tracks ahead of Saturday’s nationwide event.

When asked about their vibe-heavy track “Run From Me” – which certainly carries similar sounds from their stunning 2016 LP Light We Made – frontman Jon Simmons opened up about the lyrics saying, “That song’s about what our lifestyle’s done to relationships back home. It’s not about a specific person, but about what happens to relationships when you’re gone most of the year.”

Simmons continued to add, “Either friendships or romantic relationships, it’s about the stress with how things change while you’re gone and how life doesn’t stop at home. It’s a selfish job, and it’s about addressing that with our loved ones back home.”
