This Saturday on idobi Radio, we’re very excited to announce we’ll be airing our exclusive interview with Norma Jean/Hundred Suns vocalist Cory Brandan.
Talking with the seasoned frontman about Norma Jean’s new experimental, interlude-heavy release Polar Similar and where the band may push their boundaries moving forward, Brandan mentioned that Norma Jean’s newer material could possibly expand even further.
“I think at this point we have nothing to lose,” he says. “We’ve done seven records, you know. What’s going to happen, we’re just going to hit it big? [laughs] We’re not going to go write radio hits or anything like that. To us, we’re really going to be in a totally different place when it’s time to write again. We’ll try and get as far away from Polar Similar as possible. We’ve been talking about a few things. Maybe a double or triple album or something like that – like something where we can do a lot of different things, maybe a theme for each record. We’ll see.”
To get a deeper dive into our chat with Brandan and hear all about the future of Norma Jean as well as what’s to come from Brandan’s new side-project Hundred Suns, be sure to tune into idobi.com/radio from 4-5pm PST // 7-8pm EST this Saturday.
