Hear Dayseeker Members Explore Their ‘Sad and Synth’ Side With New Project Hurtwave

Like many people in the music scene lately with nothing but time on their hands, Dayseeker vocalist Rory Rodriguez and drummer Mike Karle have spent their quarantine working a new side-project.

Titled Hurtwave, the two musicians have come together to create a synth-heavy, pop-influenced project as demonstrated by their new lead single “Sever.”

Commenting on the vibey new track, Rodriguez said, “‘Sever’ is the first song Mike and I ever wrote together for this project and we feel it will set the tone for our particular sound as a group. It tells the story of a person you’ve been wanting to be with romantically who consistently strings you along and is never willing to commit or to cut ties entirely, either.”
