Hear Smile Empty Soul Take You Back To 2003 With Nostalgic New Single “Sides” (Noise Exclusive)

Do you remember the first time you heard Smile Empty Soul’s crushing breakout single “Bottom Of The Bottle”? How about their head-pounding and gut-wrenching track “Nowhere Kids” or their slowed down tear-jerker “Silhouettes”? Most likely it was back in 2003 when times were much simpler, music was still being played on MTV and the LA-based trio released their gold-selling self-titled debut album.

Fast-forward 15 years later and Smile Empty Soul is still going strong gearing up to release their seventh full-length album Oblivion – which, interestingly enough, hits stores May 25th nearly 15 years to the day they released their aforementioned chart-topping LP.

Now, in preparation for their first full-length since 2013′s Chemicals, Smile Empty Soul has teamed up with The Noise to premiere their nostalgic new single “Sides.”

“’Sides’ feels like a grungy throwback to me and that’s really a style of music I find myself missing tremendously these days,” says vocalist/guitarist Sean Danielsen. “There was a pure and honest quality to the grunge scene that I’d love to see make a comeback.”

To get your first taste of Oblivion, be sure to check out Smile Empty Soul’s vibey new track below. Afterwards, make sure to not only pre-order the band’s upcoming release but also grab tickets to see them out on tour with FLAW (yes, the band Stephen Colbert has been talking about) here
