Here’s A Look At 35 Years Of Metal Blade Records With Whitechapel, Cattle Decapitation, Goatwhore and More

All photos by Dillon Flowers

Finding a way to celebrate 35 years of one of metal’s biggest and most successful record labels isn’t exactly an easy task. With countless iconic names passing through the doors of Metal Blade records, how can one possibly put together a bill embracing the past, present, and future of the Brian Slagel-led company? Simple, take current deathcore heavy hitters Whitechapel, mix them with the legendary Cattle Decapitation and Goatwhore, sprinkle in up-and-comers Allegaeon and Necromancing The Stone and there you go. Okay, so maybe it was easier than we thought.

Currently doing their best to represent everything that is Metal Blade, Whitechapel, Cattle Decapitation, Goatwhore and company have been dominating cities nationwide since late February. Now, after about 17 shows under their belts, the face-melting trek is sadly coming to a close. However, before we say goodbye to one of 2017′s heaviest tours thus far, we sent trusted photographer Dillon Flowers (yes, the same Dillon Flowers who gave us a look at 10 years of August Burns Red’s Messengers LP) out to shoot the show and capture all five bands through his lens.

To check out the photos, be sure to look below. Afterwards, if you’ve yet to pick up tickets to the three remaining tour dates, you can do so here.
