Just when you thought Dance Gavin Dance couldn’t get any more incredible after dropping their stunning Bruno Mars cover of “That’s What I Like” for Punk Goes Pop Vol. 7, the Sacramento experimentalists have just dropped a surprise new single titled “Summertime Gladness.”
Pretty fitting as the band is about to embark on a summer-long run out on the Vans Warped Tour, Dance Gavin Dance’s new track is a groove-oriented jam built off pop-laced hooks from Tilian Pearson, upbeat guitar licks from Will Swan and, no big deal, some sensational saxophone play from Swans’ girlfriend Jessica Esposito (who also played flute on the band’s “Young Robot”).
