Six Newsworthy Items You May Have Missed Over The Holidays

image

Happy Holidays everyone! We hope you had a great Christmas and didn’t spend too much of your time listening to Uncle Frank complain about all the new “gizmos and gadgets” kids have these days like we did.

Anyways, while getting back into the swing of things here at the office, we noticed a lot of exciting news has leaked while we were away.

So, instead of pumping out article after article for you to comb through and catch up on, we thought we’d compile all the things you may have missed into one easy-to-read post.

Let us begin:

Tyler Carter Streams New Solo EP “Leave Your Love”

Now, if you’re a Tyler Carter fanatic like some of us are around the office, we’re pretty sure you already knew about this. However, if you’re the casual listener who might not have even known Carter was releasing a solo EP, listen up.

Ahead of its January 13 street date, Rise Records has uploaded Carter’s debut EP Leave Your Love in its entirety for everyone to hear on YouTube.

After listening to the EP four or five times now, we have to say that anyone who is a fan of The Weeknd or Frank Ocean should absolutely check this out. Then when you’re done, make sure you pre-order the album by heading here.

Sleepwave Release Graphic New Music Video for “Whole Again”

Since releasing their debut album back in September, Spencer Chamberlain (yes, the former frontman of Underoath) and Stephen Bowman have been pretty busy spreading the word about their new industrial hard rock project, Sleepwave.

Attempting to end 2014 with a bang, the duo just released a brand new sci-fi-esque music video featuring a spooky-as-shit scientist conducting some pretty intense experiments.

To check out the video for yourself, be sure to check above. Afterwards, if you haven’t already, be sure pick up Broken Compasson iTunes now.

Palisades Release “Mind Games” Music Video Ft. Champs

After debuting “Player Hater’s Ball” a few weeks back, we thought for sure that’d be the last we heard from the EDM/post-hardcore rockers Palisades in 2014. Well, after releasing another brand new track perfect for some New Year’s Eve shenanigans, it looks like we were wrong.

Off their upcoming sophomore album, “Mind Games” is a definite party starter that really showcases DJ/producer Earl Halasan’s skills. By interweaving a catchy radio-friendly EDM beat with a couple post-hardcore breakdowns, Halasan and co. are definitely showing signs that 2015 is going to be a big year for them.

If you’re a fan of the track and cannot stop singing along, make sure you pre-order Mind Games by heading here.

Hundredth Start Recording New Album

After signing to Hopeless Records and being announced as one of the first few acts to play Warped Tour 2015, Hundredth is continuing to grace fans with exciting news as they just revealed plans for a new record.

According to their Facebook post above, the melodic hardcore up-and-comers have already finished writing their new record and have begun the recording process as well.

As soon as any new tracks start to surface from the “FREE MIND OPEN SPIRIT” crew, we will be sure to let you know. For now, make sure you pick up a copy of their latest EP here.

Anberlin Set to Release New Merch in 2015

Despite playing their final show as a band earlier this month, alt-rockers Anberlin will have new material to release in 2015.

No, unfortunately it isn’t new music, but according to their Facebook page, the band will be releasing merch projects, live records, a vinyl box set and more. To see proof for yourself, check out the photo the band released last week.

Also, if you haven’t yet, do yourself a favor and listen to Anberlin’s final album Lowborn which is available now.

Thrice Set To Return in 2015?

image

While most of you were reasonably heartbroken over Thrice’s somewhat unexpected hiatus back in 2012, it appears that it’s finally time to dry your eyes. The hard rock veterans have leaked info leading us to think that their time away will be ending soon.

While the image the band released (which you can see above) is very vague and leaves much to the imagination, we’d like to hope that there may be a Vheissu 10-year-anniversary tour in the works. Alas, the band has been very tight-lipped about the whole situation and we will all have to sit and wait until the band releases any further information.

For now, here’s a link to Vheissu in full for memorabilia’s sake. Enjoy!
