Watch Pierce The Veil Run In “Circles” For New Scooby Doo-Like Music Video

Is there anything Pierce The Veil can’t do these days? We mean, c’mon. After dropping their extremely successful album Misadventures (which debuted at number four on the Billboard 200), the San Diego natives have returned with yet another highly entertaining music video directed by Drew Russ, this time for their hit single “Circles.”

First premiering on MTV (yes, they still show music videos on MTV), “Circles” is a fun, almost Scooby Doo-like look into the band attempting to stay at a haunted hotel. In addition, the video – which is actually based on the Dan Aykroyd-directed film Nothing But Trouble staring Chevy Chase, John Candy and Aykroyd – also stars former MTV and VH1 host Matt Pinfield. While most of you born after the year 1996 probably have no idea who these people are we’re referring too, for frontman Vic Fuentes, having Pinfield involved in the video was pretty special.

“My favorite part [of the video] is that we were able to get Matt Pinfield, who was a big part of MTV when I was a kid. You know, when MTV was playing music videos and music videos were larger than life,” Fuentes explained to Alt Press. “Matt Pinfield actually comes from that time and I remember watching him as a kid and it was just so crazy to have him be a part of this and be so goofy in it, and just embrace it and love it—it was so fun.”
