After what seems like an endless supply of online posts teasing something new, heavy metal juggernauts Avenged Sevenfold have finally just shared their very first new single since 2013′s Hail To The King.
Titled as “The Stage,” the band’s eight-minute and 30-second track – as expected – is an epic roller coaster ride of rowdy riffs, sensational solos and killer drum action.
As for the single’s music video, on the other hand, the totally unexpected clip is a journey through “Professor Batz Fantastical History Of The World” highlighting mankind’s love affair with violence and war. Oh, and not to mention, the story is also being told with puppets – but don’t worry, it all makes sense in the end.
While M. Shadows and co. have yet to mention whether or not “The Stage” is a part of a new album, WWE wrestler and Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho took to Instagram in a now-deleted post to share that there will indeed be a new record December, 9 titled as Voltaic Oceans.
