If you haven’t already noticed from the absurd amount of Star Wars themed posts plastered all across social media today, it’s May 4th, aka May The Fourth Be With You. If that doesn’t mean anything to you, well, you should probably just stop reading this now.
No, not because we don’t like you. It’s just we’re about to dive into some serious Star Wars talk and if you didn’t pick up on the play-on-words, you’re probably not going to appreciate what we have to offer.
Anyways, in celebration of one of the biggest Star Wars days of the year, some awesome individual has put their photoshop skills towards making some pretty kickass metal-meets-the-force playing cards. Featuring the likes of Gene Simmons, Marilyn Manson, Oderus Urungus, Alice Cooper and more, fans are able to see what some of their favorite artists would look like repping the Dark Side. To see some that caught our attention, check below. To see the full lineup, head here.
In addition to the trading cards, Star Wars fans favorite hard rock band Galactic Empire has just released their creative cover of “The Imperial March.” To watch August Burns Red producers Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak shred as “Boba Sett” and “Bass Commander” respectively, see below. Afterwards, make sure to support their Kickstarter campaign here.
