Being an upstart, alt-rock band these days can be challenging – especially when you’re left doing things completely DIY. However, when you vibe out as if you were apart of Incubus or jam like you’re in Kings of Leon, things tend to fall into place a little bit quicker than usual. Case in point: New Jersey’s rock outfit, Deaf Rhino.
Unleashing their style of soulful and riffy tunes to East Coast supporters over the past couple years, Deaf Rhino has been able to build quite a reputation for themselves selling out venues like New York City’s trendy Arlene’s Grocery.
Now, with the release of their debut album Dirt, Rust, Chaos hitting stores May 5, the rock n roll up-and-comers have teamed up with The Noise to premiere their brand new live music video for “Hey You.”
Shot and recorded in The Den at SmackTone Studios as a part of their Two Truths & A Lie series, the video for “Hey You” really showcases the quartet’s fresh and polished musicianship.
When asked about the track, the band admitted that whether their playing to a heavy crowd or not, the track always seems to get the crowd moving.
“’Hey You’ is the song that no matter what style bill we play on…pop, rock, metal…it always gets asses shaking,” says frontman Adam Schlett. “It’s got a big hook and a lot of groovy and psychedelic rock instrumental parts. We hope you enjoy grooving and rocking to it as much as we do.”
