Gearing up for the release of their three-track Private Room EP, melodic hardcore act Counterparts have just dropped their second new single.
Titled as “Selfishly I Sink,” Counterparts’ latest is a firey barrage of unrelenting and uncompromising chaos – you know, like most Counterparts songs.
When asked about the track, vocalist Brendan Murphy said, “‘Selfishly I Sink’ is one of the few b-sides from You’re Not You Anymore. Although it doesn’t really have a place on the record I’m still excited that the song finally gets to see the light of day. Lyrically, it’s a song about forcing yourself to find love where it doesn’t exist. It’s about trying to fill a void with things that are equally as empty.”
