Ahead of their upcoming tour with Stray From The Path, Varials, Chamber and more in support of their highly anticipated album Nothing Left To Love, Canadian hardcore act Counterparts has just dropped their third new single.
Continuing where they left off with “Wings of Nightmares” and “Separate Wounds,” the band’s newest track “Paradise and Plague” is another hard-hitting, emotional song led by frontman Brendan Murphy.
Talking about the feelings behind their new music, Murphy said, "My perspective [on what happened in my life] has changed so much, even in just a few years. It’s a terrible spot to be in, but some of my best material creatively came from me just being willing to admit things out loud.”
As for the band’s new music video, Murphy commented, “I’m always a fan of doing simple music videos. Partly because I think if done correctly, they’re just as effective, and also because it means we can shoot a video in a couple hours instead of a full day – and we’re all pretty lazy. I came up with the idea one day while I was driving the van on the last tour and going over ideas with Trey.”
