Continuing where they left off with their heavy barn burner “Head Hunter,” post-hardcore experimentalists Dance Gavin Dance are back with yet another new stand-alone single.
Dubbed “Blood Wolf,” Dance Gavin Dance’s new track is a vibey, atmospheric song ala “Count Bassy” or “Gospel Burnout.”
Giving fans a little insight into their two new tracks as well as when fans can expect a new album from Dance Gavin Dance, frontman Tilian Pearson tweeted, “In case you were wondering, ‘Blood Wolf’ is not on the new album, it’s the second half of the Head Hunter/Blood Wolf duo (the artwork for both singles form one piece). We are recording the new album now, to be released in 2020.”
In addition to the new track, as if you needed any more excitement in your life, Dance Gavin Dance has also revealed plans for their second annual Swanfest.
Taking place in the band’s hometown of Sacramento, CA, Swanfest 2020 will be held Saturday, April 25th.
Talking about the highly anticipated festival, guitarist Will Swan says, “With last year’s Swanfest selling out in Southern California, it only made sense for us to bring this year’s show to our hometown in Sacramento, CA. We are thrilled to have the chance to headline our biggest venue yet in the very city where it all began.”
