As if guitarist Will Swan doesn’t have enough going on running Blue Swan Records and playing for the likes of Dance Gavin Dance, Secret Band and Sianvar, the longtime shredder has just announced that he has joined another band.
“I’m joining an awesome band that’s currently already in existence,” tweeted Swan, “and I’m excited to announce which one today.“
Revealed this afternoon, Swan will be joining former Dance Gavin Dance and A Lot Like Birds vocalist Kurt Travis, former A Lot Like Birds drummer Joseph Arrington, former Dance Gavin Dance bassist Jason Ellis as well Sergio Medina of Sianvar and formerly of Stolas in the band Royal Coda.
While there’s no word on whether Will Swan will be joining the band on their upcoming tour supporting Hail The Sun and Strawberry Girls, it is exciting to imagine he and Travis working together again for the first time since Dance Gavin Dance’s 2009 album Happiness.
