With the days of the Vans Warped Tour, Taste of Chaos and Mayhem Fest sadly behind us, this summer sees the birth of a brand new traveling festival featuring the likes of some of our scene’s biggest names.

Dubbed the Rockstar Disrupt Festival, the 25-date summer trek is a new spin on the previously listed fests hosting 14 fan-favorite acts such as The Used, Thrice, Circa Survive, Sum 41, The Story So Far, Atreyu, Sleeping With Sirens, Memphis May Fire, Andy Black and more.

With just two weeks to go until the highly anticipated summer circuit kicks off, we reached out to some of the bands playing to get their predictions for the first-ever Disrupt Festival.

Today, we are sharing what The Used’s Jeph Howard and Thrice’s Riley Breckenridge had to say about the inaugural festival. To see what the talented musicians said about working with some of the other bands on tour plus their thoughts on how Disrupt will compare to Warped Tour, be sure to look below. Afterward, make sure to grab tickets to the Rockstar Disrupt Festival here.

Lastly, if you’d like a chance at winning free tickets – yes, FREE! – head here.

Which band are you most excited to watch every day on tour?

Thrice and Circa Survive.

If you could create new music with any artist on Disrupt Fest who would it be and why?

Thrice and Circa Survive. The mixture of vocals and styles should be great.

How do you think Disrupt Fest will compare to your days spent on the Vans Warped Tour?

Way better vibe. Warped was great but it seemed like too much was going on. This seems like it will be a lot easier to navigate and see who you wanna see, more like Taste of Chaos was.

Who’s the person in your band least likely to shower during Disrupt Fest?

That’s a tough one. Dan showers first thing in the morning every day. I shower every night after the show. Bert showers usually before the show. So it’s pretty equal on who showers. I’d have to say the new guy Joey only because I don’t know his showering habits just yet.

Which band do you predict will have the biggest hangout bus this tour?

[Definietly] not our bus. I think outside of the bus area is going to be the hang zone for everyone. It’s summertime. Why hide in the bus when you can try and hide in public?

Which band will have the gnarliest mosh pits?

I think everyone is going to have pretty solid breakdancing areas but I’m actually hoping to see more fire dancing pits and all vegan BBQ pits.

Which band will have the loudest sing-alongs?

The Used 🤗

If you could do guest vocals during someone’s set this summer, who would it be and which song?

Either Cave in “Juggernaut” or Miriam Makeba “The Click Song” but unfortunately neither will be touring anywhere this summer.

Your final predictions for how the first-ever Disrupt Fest will go?

It’s going to be fucking epic! The first is always the most memorable.

Which band are you most excited to watch every day on tour?

I think it’s a toss-up between Circa Survive and The Story So Far. We’ve done a ton of touring with Circa, and I’ve seen them a hundred times, but Anthony is such an electric frontman you never know what’s gonna happen from night-to-night and that’s super exciting. And with TSSF, I’ve been a fan for a while and have never seen them live so I’m gonna make up for that tenfold this summer.

If you could create new music with any artist on Disrupt Fest who would it be and why?

Probably Circa Survive. I feel like we’re kinda on the same page in a lot of ways creatively. It’d be really fun to explore some like-minded weirdness with those dudes.

How do you think Disrupt Fest will compare to your days spent on the Vans Warped Tour

I have no idea what to expect, really. I guess it’ll be more manageable [and] mellower (on the band side of things). My hopes are that the camaraderie will be the same, the chance to play in front of larger crowds will be the same, and there will be fewer people in line for the bathrooms and catering. So that’s a plus.

Who’s the person in your band least likely to shower during Disrupt Fest?

We’re all pretty into being hygienic. If you smell like trash, you get called out on our bus. We’ll be showering daily.

Which band do you predict will have the biggest hangout bus this tour?

Probably not us. Unless you like writing music, watching sports, reading, being old.

Which band will have the gnarliest mosh pits?

No clue. Probably the band that asks for them the most and has the most mosh-y parts? Not sure who that is but it’s definitely not us.

Which band will have the loudest sing-alongs?

It’ll probably depend on geography and crowd size. If we have our way, every band will get a taste of it depending on where we are. The best part about doing these bigger tours is making it feel like a collective effort … we all want to put on the best show possible in every city.

Your final predictions for how the first-ever Disrupt Fest will go?

It’s gonna be awesome. No doubt about it.
