After collaborating earlier this year with Epitaph act I Set My Friends On Fire, emotional emcee Lil Lotus is officially joining the Epitaph family.
Today the Texas-based rapper has announced he has signed a deal with the long-time punk rock label home to Bad Religion, Falling In Reverse, Every Time I Die and more.
Talking about the new signing, Epitaph owner Brett Gurewitz said, “Hip-hop and punk were born around the same time and I’ve been a fan of both genres since the 80s. The music of Lil Lotus brings these beloved countercultures together in an authentic way.”
To celebrate the new pairing between Lotus and Epitaph, the two have shared a brand new track titled “Never Get Away.” Detailing the stirring new single, Lil Lotus said, “Once I got sober, I realized a lot of the problems I was dealing with when I was coping with drugs were surfacing even more, I felt like I could never get away. Dealing with anxiety and relationships magnified everything.”
