Ex-Flyleaf Frontwoman Lacey Sturm Debuts First-Ever Solo Single “Impossible”

Three years after stepping away from the successful hard rock outfit Flyleaf, frontwoman Lacey Strum has finally returned to the spotlight via her first-ever solo single “Impossible.”

Premiering on Sirius XM, the new track breathes fresh air into the hard rock flavor Flyleaf once brought to FM dials all across the US circa 2005.

In terms of what brought the once beloved vocalist out of hiatus, she pays it all to the downfall of mainstream music.

“I was listening to the radio one day and I said to myself, ‘If I hear one more song telling people to kill themselves and go to hell, I’m going to have to put a record out!’” Lacey explained. “I just think it would be a good thing to have a voice in the mix of all the hopelessness that actually gives you a light at the end of the tunnel; a voice that’s still honest about the pain and struggle, but can also scream, ‘Hey, wake up and be alive, because there’s hope!’”
