With a little over a month to go until they unleash their highly anticipated LP The Path, metalcore heavyweights Fit For A King have just dropped their third new single “Locked (In My Own Head).”
Commenting on the anthemic new track, frontman Ryan Kirby said, “While ‘Locked’ may seem a little out of place on an album centered around victory and overcoming life’s challenges, it’s a song about understanding that all the mental things we fight through can only be defeated by our own will and perseverance.”
“Along the road,” he adds, “we will get help — whether from God or others — but at the end of it all, it’s a war that you must fight, and you must win.”
As for the band’s new high-energy music video directed by Kevin Johnson, Kirby stated, “When we went to shoot the video, it was the first time seeing the rest of the band since the shutdowns began in March. So not only was the video crazy to film with all the fireworks shooting at us, [but] we were genuinely having [an] amazing time getting to be together again.”
