As we’ve stated before with this band, the fact that Gainesville outfit Frameworks is signed to Jacob Bannon’s label Deathwish Inc is pretty fucking rad. By continuing to create their own form of melodic hardcore-meets-screamo and doing it in such a nonconforming way is not only refreshing but also much appreciated.
And, when it comes to music they’ve released thus far from their forthcoming album Smother, instead of letting the pressure of Bannon’s looming presence get to them, the guys have clearly buckled down and written some of their best music yet – like their single “Tangled” for example.
Now, before we dive too deeply into how much we back this band, let us get to the matter at hand here: the impactful and inspirational new album Smother.
While the record isn’t set to be released until July 8, the band has decided to unleash their new music a couple weeks early for everyone’s listening pleasure. And after one quick listen, let us be the first ones to say it, thank you Frameworks. Thank you for the tunes that will inevitably lead to your scene take over.
