After dropping one hell of a debut album last year via Pure Noise Records, pop-punk skate rats Gnarwolves have just announced they’ll be releasing some additional gnar-inducing music this year – this time, a hardcore influenced EP titled Adolescence.
Giving listeners a first look via their smashing new single “The Waiting Line” (which you can hear below), the band is definitely showing signs of a much more aggressive approach.
“With this record we’ve tried to create a record that flows from start to finish,” explained the U.K trio. “We tend to get pretty influenced by the music we listen to in the van, so this record definitely has a DC hardcore vibe to it."
The band continued to add, "It’s heavy, it’s short and it’s probably the most agitated we’ve sounded on record. Thematically the songs are about having a crisis of faith with society, about trying to adjust to realities that are essentially sick and being sad about girls. Basically, it’s a nine minute ripper that’s going to be an awful lot of fun to play live. Oh, and track three will surprise you!”
Pre-orders for Adolescence are available now and can be found here.
