Remember earlier in the month when we went on about Atlanta, Georgia’s up-and-coming, alt-emo act Microwave? Well, here we are again left completely speechless after hearing their brand new, moving and heartfelt single “Thinking of you.”
From their upcoming split with Head North, “Thinking of you” weighs much more on the passionate side of things compared to their previously released 2015 counterpart, “but not often.”
Drawing from a pool of different emotions, Microwave’s new track focuses on singer/guitarist Nathan Hardy and his personal struggles with the strict religious background he encountered growing up as well as some of the associated anxiety disorders that came along with it.
To hear the powerful new single for yourself, be sure to look below. Afterwards, make sure to not only pre-order the upcoming split – which hits stores October 9 via SideOneDummy and Bad Timing Records – but also pick up tickets to see Microwave out on tour with Have Mercy, Transit and Somos here.
