Hear The Dirty Nil Combine Pop-Punk And Thrash Metal For New Love Song “Doom Boy”

Leave it to Canadian trio The Dirty Nil to release maybe the most romantic thrash metal/pop-punk song of all time – yeah we said thrash metal/pop-punk, deal with it.

Singing about listening to the Slayer in the back of their dodge caravan and hailing satan together, The Dirty Nil’s new track “Doom Boy” is an epic love song for all the tender metalheads out there.

“Doom Boy is one of my favourite songs we’ve ever made,” says frontman Luke Bentham. “It’s an ode to chivalry and thrash itself, and yes, it’s my mom’s Dodge Caravan. Crank the dial and enjoy, friends.”

As for the band’s accompanying music video, which looks like something out of the cult classic FUBAR, Bentham adds, “[It] was without parallel the most dangerous video we’ve ever made. When we were told that all we had to do was return the ‘shell’ of the van to get half our money back, all hell broke loose.”

“Between the roman candles, vintage mini bikes and minivan mayhem,” he says, “I was quite surprised that we only had a few injuries by the end of the night. Do NOT attempt any of the antics performed in the ‘Doom Boy’ video, you’ve been warned.”
