Unless you’ve been purposely avoiding the radio, TV, social media and any other forms of communication, there’s a very good chance you’re familiar with Billie Eilish and her hit single “Bad Guy.”
Hitting number one on Billboard’s Hot 100 earlier this year, there has been no escaping one of this year’s biggest and most influential songs.
Showing just how massive the track has become, “Bad Guy” has started to creep its way into the ska punk scene as beloved Bay Area band The Interrupters have started covering the song live while out on tour.
“We were covering Billie Eilish’s ‘Bad Guy’ while on tour all summer. We are big fans of Billie Eilish & FINNEAS’ songwriting,” says the Epitaph signees. “What a breath of fresh air for music!”
Now that the Tim Armstrong-discovered act is off the road and gearing up for their upcoming run on the Hella Mega tour, The Interrupters have decided to give “Bad Guy” a proper recording and accompanying video.
“Here is [‘Bad Guy’] captured live at Ship-Rec studios in LA in one take,” said the band. “We hope we did it justice.”
