Look, we get everyone might have a different opinion about this but getting to see the almighty Deftones, the powerfully outspoken Rise Against and the thunderous elegance of Thrice all in the same night confirmed one thing for us: That is by far the best summer tour package of 2017.
Aside from the Vans Warped Tour, there’s honestly no other tour that can touch the diversity and musicianship of getting to see genre icons like Deftones, Rise Against and Thrice.
Seriously, what else is out there? Incubus and Jimmy Eat World? Solid, but we’ll take Thrice as support over Judah and The Lion any day. Taking Back Sunday and Every Time I Die? Close, actually very close for musical diversity points, but not quite the Chino Moreno/Tim McIlrath/Dustin Kensrue package we recently got to experience – emphasis on experience.
Now, if for some strange reason you happened to miss out on this incredibly jam-packed tour as it sadly came to a close last weekend or you just want to relive it again (or you still don’t believe that this is the absolute best summer tour package), don’t fret as we have a wonderfully constructed photo review from Noise contributor Joe Ortega. To check out his shots highlighting Thrice ripping into 2003′s “Silhouette,” Rise Against creating a massive mosh pit to “Give It All” as well as Chino’s swagtastic performance of “Back To School,” be sure to see below.
