Holy Shit: I Am The Avalanche Announce First New Album In Over Six Years

For the first time in over six years, New York punks I Am The Avalanche are returning with a brand new full-length album.

Yes, you read that correctly: I Am The Avalanche will be dropping their first new piece of music since 2014′s smash LP Wolverines.

Commenting on their return to music via a new 10-track LP titled Dive, frontman Vinnie Caruana (also of The Movielife) says, “We all need this for our souls. For my relationship with music, I need this record to come out, to have people hear what we’ve made. Maybe this record will be there for somebody… I’m sure that it will.”

Caruana notes, although this record was written pre-COVID, the lyrics will still feel rather relatable. “This has been coming,” he states. “Pre-pandemic, things were still shitty. Our country has been turned upside-down by the current administration. So the songs that sound like they were written yesterday… I don’t think that’s going to change.”
