With the boom of emo rappers like nothing, nowhere. and Lil Peep, it looks like beloved record label Hopeless Records is looking to get into the emo rap game via their latest signing.
Just announced today, joining the likes of Neck Deep, Sum 41, Taking Back Sunday, Emarosa and more is emotional Chicago rapper dying in designer.
Taking influence from bands like Blink-182 and Silverstein while also creating emo trap songs like the popular “Gerard Way,” dying in designer is sure to make quite a splash in the Warped Tour scene.
To help celebrate the signing to Hopeless, dying in designer has dropped a brand new single titled “Devil’s Callin’” which vocalist Bobby O'Brien says to be all about getting over a previous relationship.
“Devil’s Callin’” is about saying you feel better about moving on from a past relationship but in reality, you don’t. This song means a ton to me and you can actually feel my anger in the first 4 bars of the verse,“ says O'Brien. "Mentally, I was preparing myself to move on and it was the turning point in my relationship. I was lying to myself the whole time until it eventually became true.”
