Just when you thought La Dispute couldn’t possibly top their previous animated video for “Rose Quartz” and “Fulton Street I” off their forthcoming album Panorama, the beloved post-hardcore outfit has just dropped yet another visually stunning clip – this time for their jarring new track “Footsteps At The Pond.”
Directed by Daisy Fernandez, La Dispute’s new video is an out-of-this-world visual as it follows a young woman tied to a neon rope as she searches through maze after maze in hunt of a mythical creature (we told you it was pretty out there).
Touching on the new song, vocalist Jordan Dreyer describes it is as: “Footsteps at the pond. Bootprints in snow on hills sloped downward toward water and toward broken ice. Had that vision all summer in the same place driving back and forth between homes while we were writing. This song is about reckoning with flaws, about letting the best people down, about nearly drowning but for them."
