Unless you’ve been living in a plastic bubble since the day you were born, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve experienced some sort of adversity in your life. Be it a tumultuous relationship with your parents or maybe your dog Skipper passed away when you were seven. Pretty much, everybody has gone through something that has made them question life – and more importantly, fate.
No stranger to this feeling, Chicago metalcore outfit Speaking With Ghosts have taken things a step further by constructing an entire song centered around the idea of fate titled “Woven In Gold.”
“Woven In Gold’ touched a universal topic by asking ‘Are we sealed by fate?’” explains frontman Ryan Wilmot. “In the song, I am questioning my choices and why I’m making them. If we are here, what is it for? If I’m not happy, what must I do? If I’m in control, why haven’t I found the answers yet?”
