We don’t know about you guys but we here at The Noise are huge conspiracy theorists. UFOs? Totally exist. Bigfoot? It’s a thing. The world is flat? Well, maybe not so much. Anyway, regardless of whatever your take is on some of the world’s most talked about topics, there’s no denying that it’s fun to discuss the possibility of a few of them.
Someone who enjoys these highly debated subjects more than most people is current Hawthorne Heights guitarist Mark McMillon. For his other project The Story Changes, which also features Christopher Popadak of Hawthorne Heights and Chris Serafini of The Stereo, McMillon has put together a brand new song titled “Crying Wolf” all about deciphering the world’s information and drawing your own conclusions from it.
“Life is a riddle and that is half the fun,” says McMillon. “Conspiracy theories and the Illuminati fascinate me, especially when their imagery is hidden everywhere in plain sight. Is the truth really out there? Or are we just bored and always hoping for more?”
McMillon went on to explain The Story Changes’ new song saying, “‘Crying Wolf’ is about picking apart all of the information in front of you and making your own conclusions. What is real and what are lies? We have littered the video with plenty of our favorite conspiracy theory symbolism. Can you spot all of the Easter Eggs?”
To check out The Story Changes’ brand new track and accompanying music video which, as McMillon puts it, is a “tribute to all of the great collage/stop animation style videos from the 90’s alternative music scene,” be sure to look below. Afterward, make sure to pre-order the band’s forthcoming LP To Hell With This Delicate Equation before it hits stores April 26th.
