We realize it’s almost spring and bright, sunny days are on the horizon. But before we jump into happy-go-lucky afternoons spent frolicking through the meadow – people still do that these days, right? – let us bask in one last dark winter anthem from emerging post-hardcore outfit Haunting Portraits.
Combining sounds of As Cities Burn, Movements, Emery and more, the latest from the Tampa four-piece titled That Which Looks Far Away is a gripping five-track EP soaked with thought-provoking subject matter and driving musicianship.
Talking about the new release which is premiering exclusively on The Noise, vocalist/guitarist Jaryd Rosenfeld says, “Can we see into the future? What does it hold? Every moment is a connection to another universe; infinite possibilities are constantly shaping up in front of us all. Our big storybook ending may appear as the last chapter of our self-crafted novel or it just might show up on the very next page.”
