We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: Breakups are never easy – especially in a lockdown situation left with constant memories and no way to erase them.
Singing about the struggle of forgetting an ex while being regularly reminded of them through old photographs and favorite songs, power pop act glimmers is teaming up with The Noise to debut their honest new single “Fallin.”
“‘Fallin’ sums up the complicated feelings of heartbreak,” explains frontwoman Maggie Schneider. “It’s about how everything in your room reminds you of your ex, and the countless nights you spend staring at the ceiling fan looking for some form of relief.”
Schneider adds, “Nick Pena (of the project, lostbody) wrote the lyrics to this song in just a few hours and I was immediately connected to his words. We wanted this song to sound upbeat and happy sonically to juxtapose the darker lyrical themes. Losing someone you love makes you feel like you’re falling.”
