Noise Exclusive: Hear Rome Hero Foxes Bring Out The Summer Lover Bummers With “18 Summers”

Cowabunga, dudes! Great news, we’re premiering a bitchin’ new tune from Romo Hero Foxes’ forthcoming album 18 Summers to help you embrace the general shittiness that comes along with all your past/current summer lover bummers.

Wait, what’s that? You don’t know about the summer lover bummers? Well let’s have vocalist/rhythm guitarist  C.J. Burton walk you through it as he addresses the band’s new title track – you know, that song we said we were premiering today.

“‘18 Summers’ was the last track written from the album and it was the missing piece that tied it all together,” he says. “It summarizes the concept with its abrupt beginning, quickly running through a timeline of events that caused summers, growth, and mistakes to repeat to no end where the same question still remains: Am I not cool enough for you?”

If you’re still confused as to what the SLBs are (summer lover bummers, c’mon), feel free to check out the band’s surfy/garage-rock track (ala The Orwells and Wavves) below for further explanation. Afterward, make sure to pre-order 18 Summers before it hits stores July 27th.
