Look, how about we take a second to chill things out for a bit? After such a difficult week (or month or year) how about we slow things down and vibe out courtesy of LA-based rock act Sleeptalk.
Teaming up with The Noise to premiere their laid back track “100x,” the band is ready to show off their new honest and authentic single with the world.
Commenting on the song, which sounds like The 1975 meets Grayscale, frontman Anthony Fitzpatrick said, “Instrumentally, we wanted to go back to our roots and write something that has that genuine Sleeptalk vibe while continuing to enhance our sound and growth as a band. The song writing process started with the main keyboard riff accompanied by the bass line which gave the song its groove and feel.”
“After finalizing it,” he said, “we think it gives off the perfect blend of modern alternative pop and rock music.”
As for the lyrical content, Fitzpatrick notes, “‘100x’ is about trying to convince your close friend that no matter how much your opinion on something might be hurtful, you are telling them because you want what’s best for them.”
