Even before we all became quarantined – you know, like three months ago – maintaining any type of healthy relationship wasn’t as easy as they made it look in the movies.
Relationships with actual people (not video games, Netflix reality shows or houseplants like today) take hard work and plenty of dedication.
Highlighting some of trials and tribulations of a once blossoming relationship through the work of a beautifully done stop-motion video is LA-based trio Charming Liars.
Shining a light on their latest alt-rock-leaning single “Blame,” the London-born band is teaming up with The Noise to premiere their new stunning work of art.
Talking about the brand new video directed by Maxwell Lloyd, the band said, “We had planned to put out this video right as we were finishing our last European tour. Things changed and now we release it as we all stay home. The video represents a simple visualization of a relationship between two people and utilizes the heart as the driving force.”
They added, “Instead of doing a performance piece or animated video or lyric video, we went the route of stop motion. Something about it lent itself so well to this type of song and hopefully it gives the viewer a new perspective when watching it.”
