Happy Friday, everybody! To help kick off the weekend in the best way possible, today The Noise is stoked to be premiering a thunderous new single from metalcore newcomers If Not For Me.
Taken from their debut five-track EP Capture The Current, get ready to be pulverized by the band’s face-melting track “First One’s Free.”
“’First One’s Free’ is definitely one of the heavy hitters on the record. Not only do the breakdowns crush, but I feel like this track really brings out our versatility as a band,” says vocalist Patrick Glover. “We wanted to incorporate a lot of different sections and aspects that were somewhat out of our comfort zone or new to our particular sound, such as the melodic bridge build-up right after the second verse.”
Glover went on to add, “This song also has one of my personal favorite chorus hooks on the album. It’s an all-around solid tune and I think we can all agree that it’s one of our favorites to play live.”
