Feeling happy is important. This seems obvious but you’d be surprised how many people sacrifice their personal joy by giving into unjust societal norms and pressure.
Take being in a band, for example. For most of us, that seems like a pretty great opportunity. However, for some “mature” minds (aka parents), this aspiration might seem like a waste of time and money.
Inspired by this idea many face on a day-to-day basis, Long Island pop-punk outfit Makeshift has put together a brand new music video about the feelings of chasing your dreams regardless of what people might think.
Set to their upbeat track “Horrible” taken from their sophomore EP Reflection, Makeshift’s latest is an uplifting and relatable work of art – literally (you’ll see).
Talking about the new paint-soaked video which is premiering exclusively on The Noise, bassist/vocalist Dan Burke says, “The theme of this video is built around the pressure that loved ones put on you to live the life that they want you to live, regardless of what makes you happy. This feeling is something that’s been relevant to all of us for the past few years, and I’m glad we got to create something and bring it to life within this video.”
