To be honest with you all, before you read this, it really shouldn’t take a 200 word write up to understand the impact and sheer impressiveness of an Underoath headlining tour in 2018.
We mean, this band is hands-down one of the best to ever do it. Regardless of how you feel about their beliefs early on in their career, there is no denying that without Underoath, 60% to 70% of the current heavy bands you know and love would not exist today. Period.
With iconic and bulletproof releases such as 2004′s They’re Only Chasing Safety and 2006′s Define The Great Line, Underoath was able to transcend not only themselves but the entire Warped Tour/Myspace “screamo” scene to another level of acclaim some thought was never possible. And now, 14 years since the debut of their breakout Spencer Chamberlain-led release, the band is back and better than ever still proving why they’re one of the absolute best.
So like we said earlier, it really shouldn’t take us telling you all about some show in Arizona for you to realize that a bill featuring the underrated The Plot In You, the consistent Crown The Empire, the magnificent Dance Gavin Dance and the untouchable Underoath is something you shouldn’t miss.
