If you remember about a year ago, we wrote a very convincing article on how we couldn’t believe Taking Back Sunday went on tour with Every Time I Die. Now almost exactly 12 months to the day, here we are again pinching ourselves because we still can’t believe what we experienced this past week.
Out at Comerica Theater in Phoenix, AZ, we were treated to quite possibly the summer tour of the year featuring pop-punk stars The Story So Far, emo icons Taking Back Sunday and prog-rock shred lords Coheed And Cambria.
Yes, you read that right: The Story So Far, Coheed And Cambria and Taking Back Sunday all went on tour together – we know, we can’t believe it either; hence the title of this article.
Coming together to put on a show of nothing but mosh pits, emotional sing-a-longs and epic riffing, Coheed, TBS and The Story So Far treated fans to some of pop-punk and rock’s biggest tracks. In what felt like a gathering of Warped Tour kids, Emo Nite patrons and sci-fi supporters, it was a moment we’ll never forget as we witnessed all 5,000 showgoers come together as one to belt out lyrics to songs like “Nerve,” “You’re So Last Summer,” and “Devil In Jersey City.”
Now, just in case you somehow missed out on the epic tour that was, don’t worry as we have some outstanding photos for you to check out from Noise contributor Julius Aguilar.
