The time is here, folks. After already announcing their Noise Presents headliner a couple weeks back and posting teasers all throughout their socials, satanic overlords Behemoth have finally revealed news regarding their 11th studio album.
Titled as I Loved You At Your Darkest, Behemoth’s long-awaited follow-up to 2014′s The Satanist will officially hit stores October 5th.
When asked about their highly anticipated release, the band’s fearless leader Nergal said: “I really wanted to redefine ourselves with this record. I Loved You At Your Darkest is a more dynamic record. It’s extreme and radical on one hand, but it’s also more rock-oriented than any other Behemoth record.”
He went on to add, “We don’t give consideration to musical direction, we simply create what naturally comes to us. But 15 years ago, if you had asked me who I thought was the best band on the planet, I probably would have said Mayhem or Morbid Angel. Today if you asked me, I’d say AC/DC. That should give you a clear indication of why this album is more rock-based. It all comes down to the songwriting.”
To help give fans a taste of the more “rock-oriented” Behemoth, coinciding with their album announcement, the Polish metal vets have also debuted their NSFW religious-themed visual for “God=Dog.”
