In support of their forthcoming album Periphery III: Select Difficulty, progressive metal jokesters Periphery have just dropped a brand new, wacky-as-all-hell video for their new single “Marigold.”
Sort of similar to their interstellar video for “Scarlet,” “Marigold” takes things to a whole different level as what looks like evil metallic cylinders battle with one another to the death. Seriously, we couldn’t have made that up if we tried.
In regards to what helped the video achieve its total wackiness, guitarist Mark Holcomb gives full credit to director Wes Richardson – who yes, also directed the video for “Scarlet.”
“Working with Wes has become second nature for the band. This is his fourth video for us. Not only is he uniquely gifted but he also understands the visual aesthetic of Periphery, as well as having a sense of humor that runs parallel to ours.”
