In the thick of an illustrious 30-plus year career, it’s sort of crazy to think a band’s best might come in their thirty-third year of existence. But, for punk icons NOFX, it’s not completely impossible to imagine 2016 as one of the more memorable times for the Fat Mike-led outfit.
After a successful headlining tour earlier this year (presented by yours truly) in support of their New York Times Bestselling book Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories, NOFX is continuing to keep their momentum going with the release of their thirteenth studio album First Ditch Effort.
Set to hit stores October 7, the new record – which Fat Mike promises to be one of their most personal releases yet – has potential to be one NOFX fans come to love for years on end. And to prove exactly that, the band has just dropped their ninety-second, pit-friendly single “Six Years On Dope.”
