Remember Dead Rabbitts? You know, the metalcore side project from Escape The Fate’s Craig Mabbitt and TJ Bell? Well, after taking three years since the release of their debut LP Shapeshifter, the band has finally returned with a surprising and kick-ass new single titled “Dead Again.”
Continuing where they left off in 2014, Dead Rabbitts’ latest song highlights Mabbitt and Bell’s explosive songwriting abilities both melodically and aggressively. As for what the new track represents, the ex-Word Alive and Blessthefall vocalist Mabbitt explained that it’s about looking himself in the mirror when it comes to his personal mistakes.
“This song is a reflection of myself and the foolish ways I cope with pain,” he said. “I realized that consuming substances for the wrong reasons can send you on a downward spiral and no matter what you do, it will still hurt the same. Just gotta learn how to pick yourself up and end that cycle.”
