On the heels of their headlining gig at Taste of Chaos – which was remarkable by the way – screamo-era icons The Used have just announced a very intimate unplugged session at Downtown Los Angeles’ Palace Theatre October 11.
When asked about why they choose to do an all acoustic event, frontman Bert McCraken let us in on the idea behind the show stating:
“I think all of us really love the energy of a live show but understand that there are a lot of special moments in Used records that kinda fit a different vibe. So we thought it would be really special – and since it’s a 15-year anniversary [as a band] – we thought it would be incredible to put together something that’s a little bit different and out of the box from what we’re really used to doing and kind of pay homage to how important these records and songs have been to us in our lives.”
McCracken also alluded to the idea of there being something extra special at the show saying, “We can’t wait, we’re really excited and there are some big surprises awaiting.”
Tickets for this once in a lifetime event are available now and can be found here. Afterwards, if you’ve yet to pick up the band’s latest release Imaginary Enemies, you can do so here.
