Last night while out on the Rage On The Stage tour with I Prevail, We Came As Romans and Escape The Fate, The Word Alive frontman (and friend to the site) Telle Smith suffered a severe right leg injury and needed to be rushed to the hospital.
“Last night in Los Angeles I suffered a compound fracture during our last song,” says Telle. “Casted up for 6 weeks with physical therapy on the horizon, but I don’t plan on missing any shows. I’m going to try to perform while sitting down, so if you’re coming out to the remaining dates please go twice as hard for me.”
While Telle’s strength and courage to fight through the pain and keep touring is incredibly inspiring, unfortunately, the vocalist will be dealing with some serious hospital bills as he – like most musicians – does not have health insurance.
“Unfortunately,” continues Telle, “I don’t have health insurance as well, so if you want to help just grab something from my clothing line (resistandrebel.com) my jewelry line (nevertakeitoff.com) or click the link in my bio! Thank you to all my family and friends who have reached out or who were there for me last night. I’m thankful it wasn’t worse! I’ll be back and stronger than ever in 2018.”
If you’re going to be at any remaining dates on the Rage On the Stage Tour (see below), make sure to give Telle your love and support and pick up a Word Alive t-shirt or two.
