This Just In: Beach Slang Can’t Stop Making New Music And We Love It

After nearly breaking up earlier this year and dropping one of the best albums late last year, you’d think Philadelphia punkers Beach Slang would take their time when it came to their next record, right? Wrong. Pretty much out of nowhere, the East Coast trio has just announced the release of their second full-length album A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings.

Set to hit stores September 23 via Polyvinyl Records, the unexpected yet totally exciting follow up to last year’s The Things We Do to Find People Who Feel Like Us should no doubt be one of the better releases this year. And to prove just that, the band has released a new, very Beach Slang-friendly single titled “Punks In A Disco Bar” which you can hear below.

As far as the new album title goes, apparently it’s a brief summary of what Beach Slang thinks they sound like. “Someone asked me to describe, in one sentence, what Beach Slang sounds like,” the band wrote on their Facebook page. “Almost right away and without thinking, I said, ‘a loud bash of teenage feelings.’ That still feels really right to me. I suppose it always will. I don’t know. I guess the thing I really want to say is thank you for this — every soft, drunk, loud, messy, beautiful part.”

Pre-orders for A Loud Bash Of Teenage Feelings, can be found here.
