Trophy Eyes Share Forceful New B-Side “Tired Hearts”

Fresh off their summer spent on the Vans Warped Tour, Australian pop-punk/hardcore act Trophy Eyes are currently streaming a previously unreleased b-side titled “Tired Hearts.”

Taken from the writing session for their 2014 full-length Mend, Move On, “Tired Hearts” is a 65-second whirlwind that, in our opinion, could have very well made it on the album.

In regards to why the new track didn’t make the cut, frontman John Floreani says the song’s style differed from what they were wanting to play.

“We wrote ‘Tired Hearts’ in under five minutes one night at drummer Callum’s house. It was actually one of the first songs we ever wrote,” explained Floreani.

“We recorded it finally in Thailand at Karma Studios during the recording process of 'Mend, Move On.’ It was never released with the album because it wasn’t the kind of direction we wanted to portray, but we’ve always really loved the song. It’s been hidden away for a while now gathering dust so we thought we’d release it before we head off on tour again. Just a little something for Trophy Eyes listeners to wrap their ears around.”
