Longtime Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has been known to dabble in the acting world. Appearing in small time roles like 2002’s TV show Haunted and Judd Apatow’s This is 40, Armstrong has proved to his fans that he’s more than just a musician.
Continuing where he left off with This is 40, Armstrong will now be appearing in an upcoming drama titled Like Sunday Like Rain.
The movie comes from actor/director Frank Whaley (Pulp Fiction, Ray Donovan) and tells the story of a struggling musician who becomes the guardian of a 12-year-old music prodigy. In the film, Armstrong stars as the main character’s boyfriend.
