If you follow them online, it’s no secret that Memphis May Fire’s Matty Mullins and Wage War’s Cody Quistad are huge country music fans. Now, taking that fandom to the next level, the two musicians have come together to create Hillions – aka their new country side-project.
Showing off their newest exploration via their debut single “South On 65,″ Mullins and Quistad fully embrace their inner yee haw with lyrics like, “Don’t need no jacked-up trucks cause we’re blacked out rollin’ like a funeral gang. You can catch us at the bar talkin’ that Hill slang. All them other folks wish they had our thing.”
Posting about the interesting new project, the band shared that it’s “the product of five best friends celebrating the life we share together in the town of Spring Hill, Tennessee; a place none of us are from, but where we all found home.”
